Founded in 2020, the club began as a group of friends with a passion for soccer, initially using a pitch in Ferryhouse and often struggling to fulfil fixtures. Since then, it has grown into a fully fledged club with its own ground in Redmondstown. Despite its short history, Powerstown FC has enjoyed considerable success, achieving back-to-back promotions to reach Division 1 and winning the Division 3 Shield and League as well as the Division 2 Shield along the way.
