Our New Youths Team for 2026/27 Season
Powerstown FC are delighted to announce we are starting our new Youths team for the 2026/27 season! If you were born on 1st January 2009 or later, we’d love to hear from you! Please fill in the below form and we’ll be in touch!
Renovating Redmondstown
This year, we have been fortunate enough to be able to upgrade our home pitch at Redmondstown. This would not have been possible without the assistance, dedication and funding supplied by our sponsors and local who have helped us throughout the season.
Firstly, our pitch was trimmed using a zero-grazer. This allowed us to create pads for our substitiute benches to be installed. We then improved and expanded our car park area. Finally, we installed a new changing room for our team. This now allows both teams to be able to change indoors for the first time.
While more renovation plans are in the pipeline, we would like to show our appreciation to Jerry Horan, Jimmy Ryan, Christy Quirke, Beat 102-103, Paddy O'Donnell, Medite and Clonmel Show for their contributions so far. It's very appreciated! Check out the work so far in this photo gallery.
Powerstown FC Pub Quiz
On 6th March, Powerstown FC hosted our first annual Pub Quiz at the Quays Bar, Clonmel.
As well as improving our facilities and playing surfaces, we are aiming to enter our first team into the TSDL Youth Division for the 2026-27 season.
To raise funds for this, we hosted a Pub Quiz. With a raffle and spot prizes on the night, it's was a fun night for all!
The night was a success and we raised vital funds to improve our facilities. Thank you to the Quays Bar for hosting us and for local businesses for providing prizes!
Beat 102-103 Club Focus Awards 2025
Powerstown Football Club have beaten 11 other south-east sports club to win the "Beat 102-103 Sports Focus Club of the Year"!
“Being nominated is indicative of the success the club has had and of it’s future potential, despite being only five years in existence” said player/manager Nicholas Ryan. “Powerstown has an excellent sporting heritage,” said Ryan. “Locals have excelled in many sports like Gaelic football, hurling, horse racing and athletics at home and abroad. Winning this award would help us to live up to this legacy and allow us to represent our home to the best of our ability.”
He said that the club would use it to upgrade the facilities of their home pitch in Redmondstown, benefitting the team and the community as a whole. This will help the club to achieve their aims of promotion to the Premier Division and enter a team in the Youth division for the 2026-27 season

Beat 102-103 Club Focus Awards 2025
Powerstown Football Club, are in the running to win a competition for sports clubs in the south-east of Ireland. Powerstown, who play in Division 1 of the Tipperary Southern District League, face competition from 10 other clubs to win the cash prize of €2000.
“Being nominated is indicative of the success the club has had and of it’s future potential, despite being only five years in existence” said player/manager Nicholas Ryan.
